A highly functional dispatch from Full of Nothing newcomer RNBWS: the Russian producer’s first EP on the label boasts two rather odd tribal bass-techno bombs with an impressive sense of scale.
“Ambulance” is an ecstatic banger that underpins its catchy melody with busy tomtom interplay and subterranean pressure. No-nonsense arrangements and raw emotionality of the tune create a full-scale sense of drama, fit for dancing like there’s no tomorrow.
“Family Values”, though, is a hiccupy tool for deepest darkest dancefloors with glassy, metallic cut-up voices on top of menacing 808 artillery.
RNBWS’ love of UK-style low-end pressure and his own way of crafting mesmerising structures are in full effect here — the release is ‘floor-ready, yet far from those latest soulless tinkerings flooding the market.
This is an original, psychedelic club experience on the intersection of techno and bass, with a weird twist.

Amor Satyr and Siu Mata is really solidifying themselves as one of the new "Big things coming" collaborators. They've yet to put out a release I don't want to immediately get. Markus (Hårek)
